The funny thing about Tumblr trying to be Twitter and Instagram trying to be Twitter is that as someone who has been on Twitter for years and has come to understand how its structure disincentivizes nuance and encourages angry QRTs and doomscrolling, the LAST thing I want is to join a Twitter-like. So many perfectly normal people I know became weird cynics on Twitter and I ended up muting them. Twitter was ruining people for me. Twitter had me wanting to return to geocities websites. I am wholly interested.
